Bluprintr

Bluprintr is a native iOS app for collision estimators. It brings familiar estimating shorthand, repair times, quantities, and photos into one record at the car. You can export that documentation for reference when manually entering an estimate in your shop's estimating system.

How it started

I documented the original concept and interaction design in the repository in July 2022: tap words to build repair lines and attach the photos that explain them. That idea led me back to school for computer science at Austin Community College, from 2023 through summer 2024. I incorporated Bluprintr, Inc. in Delaware on August 28, 2024.

Built so far

I've built the Swift and SwiftUI app, its SwiftData persistence, automated tests, and product website. The core capture workflow works offline. Current capabilities include:

• Contextual shorthand suggestions, custom terms, repair times, and quantities.
• Multiple repair orders, labeled photos, and line editing that preserves photo attachments.
• Prior-damage and vehicle-condition documentation, including tire tread and equipment.
• PDF, text, and organized photo exports for preparing the estimate.

The engineering includes a grammar-driven parts graph, transactional SwiftData photo assignment, bounded asynchronous imports, and on-device classification with FoundationModels and Core ML, supported by migration checks, unit and UI tests, and evaluation harnesses.

Demo recordings

I've recorded 22 demos across 18 workflows, from intake and line editing to photo assignment and export. They show the actual native iPhone app in the simulator, using fictional repairs and fictional photos.
