A native learning app for iOS and macOS.
Started in 2025
Magnolia combines spaced repetition with tools for creating and editing study material. I'm building it in Swift and SwiftUI, with study sessions on iPhone and a dedicated Mac editor.
What I've built
- Native Swift ports of the FSRS v6 optimizer and v7 model and optimizer, with on-device training, Accelerate/SIMD kernels, and reference-parity tests.
- AnkiPackageImporter, a Swift library for importing .apkg files, reading their SQLite collections, mapping notes and media, and validating archive paths.
- Persistent study history in Core Data and an MCP interface that lets agents inspect content and propose reversible edits for review in the Mac editor.
